Practice Transitions Group Expands with the Addition of Four New M&A Advisors

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Practice Transitions Group (PTG), an Austin-based M&A advisory firm specializing in healthcare practices, is proud to announce the addition of four new M&A advisors to their team. With decades of experience in acquisitions, the healthcare industry, or both, these advisors bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the PTG medical practice transitions team.

Practice Transitions Group added Nicolas Tognoni, Mike Platt, Scott Boyd, and Lauren Wheeler.

Nicolas Tognoni brings 14 years of experience across multiple facets of business, including Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Development, and Sales. In his most recent role, Nic spent nearly a decade sourcing and negotiating proprietary deals at Forterro, a global firm specializing in the acquisition and operation of ERP providers. His diverse experience and proven track record position him as a significant asset to PTG.

Mike Platt joins PTG after a dynamic career leading medical practices through financial turnarounds and operational optimization. His expertise spans revenue cycle management, practice operations consulting, and strategic software utilization  His in-depth experience with and perspective on the insurance industry adds an unvarnished and real-time perspective on the realities of practice ownership to the medical practice transitions team.

Scott Boyd comes to PTG after leading the nation’s largest aesthetic and dermatology group through a 14-state expansion totaling over 170 locations. Scott’s experience sourcing healthcare practices for private equity buyers makes his advice to clients accurate and relevant.  Having been in the buyer’s shoes, he knows exactly how to position sellers for exceptional returns.  

Lauren Wheeler brings nearly 20 years in the financial services industry where she served middle-market companies in the North and East Texas markets as a commercial banker. Lauren’s tremendous experience is matched by her academic achievement; she earned an MBA in Corporate Finance and Investments from TCU.  

The addition of these new advisors comes at a time of growth and expansion for Practice Transitions Group including
